what is web design what are the tools are usefull for this..?

Hi,

web design is the process of planning and creating a website. Text, images, digital media and interactive elements are used by web designers to produce the page seen on the web browser. Web designers utilize markup language, most notably HTML for structure and CSS for presentation as well as JavaScript to add interactivity to develop pages that can be read by web browsers.
Some of the aspects that may be included in Web design or Web production are graphics and animation creation, color selection, font selection, navigation design, content creation, HTML/XML authoring, JavaScript programming, and e-commerce development.

Tools that are used in web designing are :
1. Dreamweaver
2. HTML pad
3. Notepad++ etc.

Hope this will help…

What web design tool is the site attackwatch.com built with?

Nothing fancy about that site at all. It’s very simple. Very. It could be built with anything – like any site.

I would guess notepad.

After learning many languages and tools for web designing do I need a degree in that than?

I have learned HTML5, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, jqury, php, wordpress, joomla, flash, dreamweaver, photoshop, illustrator. I have made a short portfolio and also got certificate of completion from arena multimedia. Do I need an additional degree in computer science or something like that? Or an adobe certification?

No need for a degree. In the current market, employers are looking for technical experience. Just be sure that when you construct you resume, be sure to have a list of "Skills." Literally, it can me something like this:

Skills: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, CSS, jQuery, PHP, mySQL, etc…

Be sure to put this in the top 1/4 of your first resume page. They need to know your credentials within 15 seconds of looking at it.

Instead of spending money on college, find clients on craigslist and offer very low prices — this will help you build up a good resume within a year while at least getting money rather than spending it.

How do I design my web site? Which tools to use?

Ok I am lost. I am about to purchase a domain which I will use for forums and email for a podcast which I am about to start. I am going to purchase the site from godaddy.com. My question is, once I own the web page how the heck to I change it and add forums? Wont it be just a blank web page? Can I actually go to it and somehow log in? I am completly clueless but everyone who I have spoken to as told me that it is very easy to do. Please steer me in the right direction.

1. How do I physically access the new site once I own it?
2. Is there any good free ways to design a webpage?
3. How hard is it to setup E-mail?
4. How hard is it to setup Forums and add links to podcasts?

Please help me out.

There is no simple way to create a web site. As a person who has been involved in webpage design since the day of Windows 3.11 and Netscae Navigator 1.1, I may be able to tell you some tips about web site creation.

First of all you must decide your web site’s topic or theme. You should work on something you are good at. For instance, you can do something about programming, sports and games, travel, books review, astronomy, health, education, any hobby, and etc.

Next, do some research by reading books, journal, info from the Internet and etc. Follow by designing a framework for your contents, get the main topic and subtopics properly arranged.

To start writing your contents, you should use a GUI-based webpage development program such as MS Frontpage, Macromedia Dreamweaver and etc. Besides, you should also learn some basics of HTML so that you can customize your page better.
For MS Frontpage, you have to purchase it. However, if you have Windows Vista, you can use notepad that come with it to design your web page using HTML. After that, load all your files to the server using FTP.

You can view my web site that provides free Visual Basic tutorial to get a rough idea on how to create your web site. You can also learn HTML here.

My web site has attracted about 4 million visitors since its inception.

Can you suggest a free web design tool?

I am a newbie to web design and development, and I am looking for some kind of tool that spits out html and css to get me started.

I am finding it very difficult to start from scratch, so yea I would use it for creating a basic template, which I can modify and add scripts to later.

A free, cross-platform (read Linux and Windows) software would be ideal.

Thanks.
Before you tell me to Google, I did it. :P There are tons of results, and I thought that I could narrow it down based on your experiences.

Word, WordPad, Publisher and even the infamous FrontPage, including many Microsoft web editors should NEVER be used for web pages. They guarantee that your web pages will NOT be cross-browser compatible because of all the Microsoft Schema code it adds. Only IE and Maxthon understand this code. Additionally, FrontPage requires server extensions be installed to work correctly. Also, OpenOffice is not a web editor.
