Is That Good Price For Web Design??

Its good to get that price for your designs but at the start up that pay is too much you should have less price and standard web design for starting your web design business.

I need a great affordable price for web design in the lower mainland (Vancouver BC). Please let me know your experiences and who I should go to.

I don’t think you necessarily need a catchy name. Something named after your last name or first name would be fine. If you’re looking to pitch to really large companies, then yes maybe a corporation name would be helpful. But otherwise, for people and companies, it’s not necessary – but might be fun to do. I don’t use any name even though I have one.

I would say a good way to get a catchy name is to figure out the adjectives you would want to use for your company: edgy, artsy, etc… and pick a few foreign languages and see what the translations are. That’s one way to do it and I have found pretty good luck with it

There definitely is a market for creating web sites. More than enough people out there to create sites for. You can charge $500 or more per site. Plus ongoing monthly maintenance if you want to.

1. A web designer is expected to be extremely creative. It’s more an artistic job than a technical one. Not trying to be mean, but if you need help with the name, you may want to look into another career. Or working for a web design company on the technical side.

2. There is a HUGE market. There is an even larger base of wanna be web designers. Many people in India and China willing to do a good job for next to nothing. So to stand out from the crowd you better be good.

3. The price for a very good designer is $200/hr. You will have to start with charity work ($0/hr) to build a portfolio and show potential clients how good you are.

I’ll be starting courses soon and would like advice in what options /model etc. to look for in one of the Dell laptops. I’ve bought from Dell before and find their service is excellent. Toshiba -not so hot! Maybe you work in web design and find that your laptop is limited for it in some way ? I could learn from you and prevent that by knowing what the most attractive features are to have included. Price is a concern, starving student yada-yada

for webd all u need is a basic laptop like hp/compq for exe the compaq presario m2000 256 mb ram intel pen m and 40 gig hdd for less then 500 works fine i have 2. and i use them to test outher pcs at work so its fine trust me.

Has any one been too ITT tech or taken the online courses for web design? I am very interested in going and I cant seem to find the information online. The price will very much influence my decision thats why I ask.

the cost is about 40 k for two years which i do think is web design, right now im in eletronic and computer enganeer program and grad in september but you get about half paid with grants from gov so it’s not really that bad and you don’t pay back your loans till five months after you are out of school, i go to Green bay wi school and love it don’t listion to people saying it’s a bad school. it matters what campas you go to i just got hired for 70 k a year job with school help so it works. your teachers are there for you also if you need help on non class day they come in well at my campas. and most teachers i know at my site need to havea masters in there field to teach it.

If you do sites, what do you charge? If you had a site done, what did you pay? Or link to sources that have prices for web design services.

For example:

• What area of the world will this be designed for, and in. Pricing is different around the world, not to mention different monetary systems.

• How extensive will the web site be. A handful of pages, several pages, or many (hundreds/thousands). The number of people involved to do large projects makes a difference.

• How involved will the web site be.
º º Graphic work.
º º Scripting.
º º Database accessing.
º º Programming.
º º Interactive.
º º Etc…

• Does the client know what they want. Or will this be more like an Ad Agency, where the client will not know what they will like until they see it designed (meaning it may have to be done several times).

• Will this be a one time shot, or an ongoing contract to maintain the web site after design and implementation.

• Etc…

You will be better off doing a Google search with specific keywords in your search criteria so that you can gather the information you desire.

Can anyone recommend affordable web design company from Edinburgh or Midlothian. I do not want to pay hundreds of pounds for a small business web design. I need to have a domain and hosting included in the price and would like to now the price of website design up front. I now the quality web design in Edinburgh may be rather pricy but I need something affordable.
